The procedures you will follow for installation, back up, restoring a backup, and uninstalling are different depending on whether you are using Option A or Option B. Be sure to follow only the instructions that apply to your circumstances.

Option A: You will use your own computer and plan to keep the Peachtree Accounting software on your hard drive until you complete the project. If this is your situation, follow the five steps on pages 1-8 to 1-19 in the Instructions & Assignments book. This is the easiest and best option for students and instructors.

Option B: You will use a computer in a laboratory where the Peachtree Accounting software is already installed on individual machines or on a network. If this is your situation, follow the four steps on pages 1-20 to 1-26 in the Instructions & Assignments book.

CAUTION:

Consult with your instructor before using Option B. The procedures for backing up and restoring your data files will be different for each computer laboratory installation (stand-alone or network), and you will need to know the location to use for backing up and restoring your data files.
